They were discovered by his lawyers on November 2, only days before the midterm elections, in an unsecured closet. The email shows that Hunter Biden was in the running to profit from the Penn Biden Center and its “Clinton Global Initiative” like operations. On April 25, 2016, an agent named Craig Gering emailed Hunter with "confidential notes from our meeting," according to the Fox News report. Gering reveals that plans were discussed for the vice president after he left office. "The Biden Institute of Foreign Relations at the University of Pennsylvania," Gering's email read. "Focus on foreign policy. In addition to the institute at U of Penn, the school has an existing office in DC that will be expanded to house a DC office for VP Biden (and Mike, Hunter and Steve?). The email adds that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate” and that “at the moment there’s a provisional agreement that the equity will be distributed as follows,” including “20” (i.e., 20%) for “H” (Hunter). It directly implicates Joe Biden as a beneficiary of his son’s illicit deals with China and Ukraine. It gets even worse: Hunter Biden was doing deals with Dr. Patrick Ho, who worked for Ye Jianming, the chairman of CEFC. On an audio from Hunter’s laptop, he refers to Ho as the “f***ing spy chief of China.” So, Hunter Biden knew what he was doing was a national security threat. And it is inconceivable that his father was unaware of his son’s illicit activities. The Penn Biden Center, where Biden’s first stash of documents were reportedly found, would prove to be a major Chinese fundraising engine for the university. “Penn took in roughly $77 million in gifts and contracts from China between 2014 and 2020, The Daily Pennsylvanian previously reported,” the above-cited report states. “Further, the Washington Free Beacon noted that foreign donations to the university tripled in the two years following the Biden Center's opening in 2017, with most of the money coming from China.” The Chinese “gifts” to the Penn Biden Center have been ongoing under Joe Biden’s presidency. “The university also received at least $12.8 million in gifts from China between March 2020 and June 2022, according to a review of the Department of Education's foreign gift reporting database,” the report noted. “Additionally, the university reported at least $2.8 million in China contracts between July 2020 and January 2022.” The critical thing to note is that Hunter Biden’s laptop is now directly relevant to Biden’s classified documents scandal.
